RESOLUTION NO. 78-]15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
77-83 TO ADJUST THE COMPENSATION FIXED
AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE OFFICE OF THE
ACTING CLERK OF THE COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Office of the Clerk of the Council of
the City of Santa Aha will become vacant effective September 18,
1978, due to the retirement of Florence I. Malone; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint a
current employee of the City to serve as Acting Clerk of the
Council until the recruitment and selection of a permanent re-
placement can be made, andappoints Patricia E. Rice to serve as
Acting Clerk of the Council effective September 18, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends that the Clerk
of the Council's compensation be adjusted effective from and
after September 18, 1978, in consideration of the additional
duties and responsibilities to be assumed by Patricia E. Rice
as Acting Clerk of the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana:
1. That Resolution No. 77-83 be amended to change
the salary fixed and established for the Office of Clerk of
the Council from $2,255.00 per month to $1,800.00 per month.
2. That said adjusted salary shall be paid in the
same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries
in the City are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from
and after September 18, 1978.
3. That Resolution No. 77-83 be amended by inserting
the word "Acting" before the words "Clerk of the Council" where-
ever those words are set forth.
4. That the remaining provisions of Resolution No.
77-83, pertaining to certain employee benefits, shall remain
unchanged.
