A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281
TO ADD THE NEW CLASS OF POLICE RECORDS SUPER-
VISOR II AND TO CHANGE THE CLASS TITLE OF
CLERICAL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR TO POLICE RECORDS
SUPERVISOR I AND ADJUST THE ASSIGNED SALARY RATE
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers
and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha
requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification
and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval of the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time emended said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to restructure, retitle and adjust the compensation
levels of two supervisory classes in the Police Department Records Section for the
purpose of more accurately defining assigned duties and responsibilities and to promote
stability and continuity of supervision through the establishment of an integrated
career ladder and equitable pay structure for such supervisory positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
emended by:
a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of Police
Records Supervisor II at Salary Range No. 364, $1233-$1488; and
Changing the existing class title of Clerical Operations Supervisor
to Police Records Supervisor I and changing the currently assigned
salary range from No. 313 ($961-$1168) to No. 330 ($1044-$1269).
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after February 1, 1979.
