HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-028REL:ms 1/22/79 RESOLUTION NO. 79-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIGNATING 4.52 ACRES BOUNDED BY PARTON STREET ON THE WEST, SANTA ANA BOULEVARD ON THE NORTH, THIRD STREET ON THE SOUTH, AND ROSS STREET ON THE EAST FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND CIVIC FACILITIES DESIGNATION TO THE PROFESSIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES DESIGNATION. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular meeting held January 9, 1979, following public hearing noticed and held in the manner prescribed in section 27-16 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, has approved and recommended to the Council an amendment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth,; and WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing duly noticed in accordance with section 27-17 of the Santa Ana Municpal Code, and based upon such hearing and the evidence therein presented, does now find said amendment, as recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the public interest; and WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action, has reviewed and considered the information contained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-270, and on the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Land Use Element of the General Plan is hereby amended by deleting a site consisting of approximately 4.52 acres bounded by Parton Street on the west, Santa Ana Boulevard on the north, Third Street on the south, and Ross Street on the east, from the Government and Civic Facilities designation and redesignating such site as Professional Administrative Offices, in accordance with that certain document entitled "General Plan Amendment 79-1," on file with the Clerk of the Council.
