HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-037EJC:ar 2/20/79 RESOLUTION NO. 79-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION 77-84 AND RESOLUTION NO. 78-104 TO ADJUST THE COMPEN- SATION FIXED AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY WHEREAS, the Office of City Manager of the City of Santa Ana became vacant effective August 4, 1978, due to the resignation of Mr. Bruce C. Spragg; and WHEREAS, the City Council on July 25, 1978, desir- ing to appoint a current officer of the city to serve as Acting City Manager until the recruitment and selection of a permanent replacement can be made, appointed City Attorney Keith L. Gow to serve in a dual capacity as Acting City Man- ager-City Attorney, effective August 4, 1978; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 78-104 adjusting the City Attorney's compensation effective from and after August 4, 1978, in consideration of the addi- tional duties and responsibilities he has assumed as Acting City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Council appointed a City Manager on February 20, 1979, and relieved the City Attorney of the additional responsibility as Acting City Manager. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. That Resolution No. 77-84 as amended be amended to change the salary fixed and established for the Office of City Attorney from Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) per month to Three Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($3,520.00) per month. 2. That said adjusted salary shall be paid in the same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries in the city are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from and after February 20, 1979. 3. That the remaining provisions of Resolution No. 77-84 as amended, pertaining to certain employee benefits, shall remain unchanged.
