RESOLUTION NO. 79404
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO
CHANGE SEVERAL CLASS TITLES AND ADJUST THE SALARY
RANGE OF TWO POSITIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH PRO-
VISIONS OF THE RECENTLY APPROVED ADMINISTRATIVE
REORGANIZATION PLAN
WHEREAS, on June 18, 1979, the City Council approved
certain changes in the administrative organization of the
City of Santa Ana municipal government in order to eliminate
nonessential layering of administration; consolidate and
coordinate interrelated functions and activities; strengthen
management controls, including fiscal controls; eliminate
duplication of certain services and activities; provide
improved policy and long-range planning capability for the
City Council and the City Manager; and provide staff service
capabilities designed to assist Council members to quickly
and effectively respond to constituents regarding various
problems in the community; and
WHEREAS, in order to implement certain key aspects of
said administrative reorganization, it is now desired to
change certain class titles to more accurately reflect assigned
responsibilities and to increase the salary assigned to two
of those classes in order to provide a level of compensation
commensurate with added responsibilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended,
is hereby further amended by:

Changing the salary rate range assigned to
the class of Director of Finance and Support
Services (EM) from Range No. 520 ($2637-$3205
per month) to Range NO. 530 ($2769-$3365 per
month), an increase of approximately five
percent (5%).

Changing the salary rate range assigned to the
class of Community Resources Supervisor from
Range No. 385 ($1365-$1659 per month) to
Range No. 395 ($1434-$1742 per month), an
increase of approximately five percent (5%).
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and
after July 1, 1979.
ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1979, by the
following vote:
