A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE
LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
BY REDESIGNATING 1.92 ACRES LOCATED ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF CIVIC CENTER DRIVE
BETWEEN LOWELL AND FLOWER STREETS, FROM
THE HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DESIGNATION
TO THE PROFESSIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICES DESIGNATION.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular
meeting held May 29, 1979, following public hearing noticed
and held in the manner prescribed in section 27-16 of the
Santa Ana Municipal Code, has approved and recommended to
the Council an amendment to the General Plan of the City of
Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council has held a public hearing
duly noticed in accordance with section 27-17 of the Santa
Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hearing and the
evidence therein presented, does now find said amendment, as
recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the public
interest; and
WHEP~EAS, this Council, prior to taking this action
has reviewed and considered final environmental impact report
78-4 and does hereby approve and certify said environmental
impact report as having been completed in compliance with
the California Environmental Quality Act and the State EIR
Guidelines;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Land Use Element of the
General Plan is hereby amended by deleting a site consisting
of approximately 1.92 acres on the north side of Civic Center
Drive between Lowell and Flower Streets, from the High Density
Residential designation and redesignating such site as
Professional Administrative Offices, in accordance with that
certain document entitled "General Plan Amendment 79-2," on
file with the Clerk of the Council.
