A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION 58-281 TO CHANGE CERTAIN WAGE RATES AND
PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN OTHER REVISIONS TO THE LIST OF PART-TIME
AND SEASONAL TEMPORARY CLASSES OF EMPLOYMENT CONTAINED THEREIN
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all offi-
cers and en~loyees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to revise the list of class titles in Section 3.1
of Resolution No. 58-281 which are used to employ the majority of part-time and
seasonal temporary employees of the City of Santa Aha by (a) deleting the existing
class titles of Cashier, Chief Lifeguard and Lifeguard; (b) adding the new class
titles of Administrative Intern/Graduate Studies and Musetan Security Guard; and
(c) making the following class title changes:

Swimming Instructor
Pool Manager
Sports Official, Adult
Sports Official, ~n's Baseball
To
Water Safety Instructor/Guard
Water Safety Supervisor
Sports Official, Intermediate
Sports Official, Senior
WHEREAS, it is also desired to assign new wage rates to certain class titles
contained in the list of part-time and seasonal teraporary classes of employment as
revised above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Arm:
1. That Section 3.1 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 3.1: Part-time and Seasonal Temporar)r Rates: Part-time and
seasonal temporary employees assigned to the following class titles shall receive
wages based on the rates set opposite the class title:
Administrative Intern/Graduate Studies $3.75-4.00 hour
Crossing Guard 3.15-3.30 hour
Law Clerk 5.00-5.50 hour
Library Page 3.25-3.50-3.75-4.00 hour
Muse~nn Security Guard 4.75-5.00 hour
Night Caretaker 3.50-3.75 hour
R~creationAttendmlt 2.65-3.10 hour
Recreation Leader I 3.25-3.50 hour
Recreation Leader II 3.75-4.00 hour
Recreation Specialist 4.40-4.65 hour
Score Official 3.50 game
Sports Official, Junior 3.75-4.00 game
Sports Official, Intermediate 5.00-6.00-7.00 game
Sports Official, Senior 10.00 game
Student Intern 3.75-4.00 hour
Water Safety Instructor/Guard 3.70-3.85 hour
Water Safety Supervisor 4.60 hour
2. That Resolution No. 76-81 of this Council adopted on July 27, 1976, and
any and all other Resolutions of this Council inconsistent herewith, are hereby
repealed.
3. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after November 1, 1979.
