RESOLUTION NO. 80-6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA INCREASING THE RATE OF COMPENSATION
FOR MEMBERS OF THE HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
established and set the rate of compensation for each member
of the Human Relations Commission in Resolution No. 73-131
in paragraph 2 thereof; and
WHEREAS, said paragraph 2 provides that each "member
of the Human Relations Commission shall receive the sum of
Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for each regular or adjourned meet-
ing of said Commission which said member attends, provided,
however, no such member shall be paid more than Thirty
Dollars ($30.00) for such attendance at meetings held during
any one calendar month;" and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana, by a unanimous vote of said council members present at
the regular meeting of November 5, 1979, voted to increase
the compensation of each member of the Human Relations
Commission to Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for each regular
or adjourned meeting of said Commission which said member
attends, said compensation not to exceed the sum of Fifty
Dollars ($50.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana that the City Council hereby author-
izes compensation to be paid to each member of the Human
Relations Commission at the rate of Twenty-five Dollars
($25.00) for each regular or adjourned meeting of said
Commission which said member attends, provided, however,
that no such member shall be paid more than Fifty Dollars
($50.00) for attendance at meetings held during any one
calendar month, and, provided further, that said compensa-
tion shall be inclusive of compensation for any and all
meetings of the Housing Commission attended by the members
of the Human Relations Commission in their capacity as mem-
bers of the Housing Commission.
