A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO PROVIDE
SALARY ADJUSTMENTS FOR THREE ENGINEERING CLASSIFI-
CATIONS AND TO DESIGNATE THE CLASS OF TRAFFIC ENGI-
NEERING SUPERVISOR AS UNREPRESENTED MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolu-
tion No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for
all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa
Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position class-
ification and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the
approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, in order to properly recognize and compensate for the impact on
three management-level engineering positions of substantially increased responsi-
bilities related primarily to the greater expanded role of transportation plann-
ing and engineering functions within the City structure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended by:
a. Changing the current two-year salary adjustment schedule assigned
to the following class titles as next hereinafter set out:

b. Designating the class of Traffic Engineering Supervisor as Unrepre-
sented Middle-Management by adding the parenthetical identifier (MM) next to follow-
ing the class title.
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after April 16, 1980.
