A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO DELETE THE CLASS TITLE
OF ASSISTANT CLERK OF THE COUNCIL AND ADD THE CLASS TITLE
OF DEPUTY CLERK OF THE COUNCIL II.
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation
Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position
classification and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and
the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, as a result of a recently completed study of several positions
assigned to the Office of the Clerk of the Council, it is now desired to delete
an unused class title and to add a new class title.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby
further amended by:
a. Deleting the class title of Assistant Clerk of the Council.
b. Adding, in the proper alphabetical sequence, the new class
title of DEPUTY CLERK OF THE COUNCIL II at Salary Range Numbers 360 ($1209-
$1469), effective June 1, 1980, and 374 ($1294-$1573), effective July 1, 1980.
c. Changing the title of the existing class of Deputy Clerk of
the Council to DEPUTY CLERK OF THE COUNCIL I (at no change in salary level).
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after June 1, 1980.
