A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE bASS TITLE OF
RISK MANAGERAND TO DESIGNATE SAID NEW CLASS AS UNREPRE-
SENTED MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation
Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa
Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classifi-
cation and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval
of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to establish a new single-position classification
in the Office of the City Manager for the purpose of administering and coordinating
a centralized comprehensive risk management and loss-control program for the City of
Santa Aha and to allocate said new class title to an appropriate level of compensa-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended by:
a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Risk
Manager at Salary Rate Range No. 477, $2139-$2600, effective July 1, 1980.
b. Designating said new class as Unrepresented Middle-Management by
adding the parenthetical identifier (MM) next to following the class title.
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after July 1, 1980.
ADOPTED, this 16th day of June , 1980 by the following vote:
AYES: Bricken, Griset, Luxembourge~ Markel, Serrato, Yamamoto
NOES: None
