A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO DELETE ONE TITLE,
ADD ONE TITLE AND CHANGE TWO TITLES INVOLVING CLASSES
OF POSITIONS ASSIGNED TO THE CITY'S PRENTICE PARK ZOO
OPERATION
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation
Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa
Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classifi-
cation and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval
of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to delete an unused class title and implement
several revisions to the classifications of positions assigned to the City's Prentice
Park Zoo operation as provided for in the current annual budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended by:
a. Deleting the class title of Zoo Curator.
b. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Zoo
Attendant I at Salary Range No. 280, $818-$994.
c. Changing the titles of the existing classes of Zoo Keeper and Zoo
Attendant to Associate Zoo Curator and Zoo Attendant II, respectively,
at no change in salary level.
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after July 1, 1980.
