A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE
TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR A
CIVILIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, The City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain
project designated "Civilian Accident Investigation" to be funded
in total from funds made available through the State of California,
Business and Transportation Agency, Office of Traffic Safety,
Traffic Safety Project Agreement (under Section 2907, California
Vehicle Code, and Section 402(C) of Public Law 89-564 as amended by
Public Law 91-605).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City. of Santa Ana:
That the Chief of Police is authorized to execute, on
behalf of the City of Santa Ana, and submit that certain
application for "Civilian Accident Investigation" Project/
Traffic Safety Project Agreement.
That the City of Santa Ana agrees to provide all in-kind
services required for said project (including any
extension or amendment thereof) under the Traffic
Safety Project Agreement.
That grant funds received hereunder shall not be used
to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled
by this body.
