A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
PROHIBITING PARKING ONCERTAIN PORTIONS OF NORTH BROADWAY AND
BUFFALO AVENUE TO PROVIDE FOR THE RELOCATION OF THE SOUTHBOUND
SANTA ANA FREEWAY ON-RAMP
WHEREAS, Certain portions of North Main Street and North Broadway
in the City of Santa Ana awe severely congested during the afternoon hours;
and
WHEREAS, the State of California is involved in a construction
project to relocate the southbound Santa Aha Freeway on-ramp to relieve
some of this congestion; and
WHEREAS, this relocation will necessitate alterations to the
existing travel flow on North Main, Broadway, and Buffalo Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the relocated on-r~mp will require protected left-turn
storage on Broadway at Buffalo Avenue; and
WHEREAS, in order to improve traffic flow in this area and reduce
parked vehicle accidents it is necessary to remove parking on Broadway and
Buffalo Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
RESOLVE: That there shall be No Stopping At Any Time in the following
locations:
a. On Broadway, both sides, from Santa Clara Avenue to 300'
south of Buffalo Avenue.
b. On Buffalo Avenue, both sides, from the west curb line of
Main Street to a point 300' easterly.
ADOPTED this 18th day of Au~st , 1980 by the
