RESOLUTION NO. 80-158
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE
FIFTH YEAR PROGRAM PERFORMANCE
REPORT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY
STEPS TO FILE SAID PERFORMANCE
REPORT; AND DESIGNATING THE CITY
MANAGER AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTA-
TIVE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO
ACT IN CONNECTION WITH THE AFORESAID
PERFORMANCE REPORT.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha received approval of its
First Year, Second Year, Third Year, Fourth Year, and Fifth Year
Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program applications
from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment ("HUD") under Title I of the Housing and Community Develop-
ment Act of 1974, as amended, and has implemented the programs
for these five years beginning June 12, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the Fifth Year CDBG Program Performance Report
("Report") was prepared in accordance with federal regulations
(24 CFR 570.303(d) (3)), including an accounting of all activities
for the five-year period from July 1, 1975 through June 30, 1980
for which CDBG funds have not been completely expended; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with federal regulationsf ~24 CFR
570.303(j) (2), a public hearing was held on August 26, 1980 in
order to "review program progress and performance. ."; and
WHEREAS, the Report was sent to the clearinghouses and
the Los Angeles Area HUD office on the same date; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana now wishes to approve
the Report, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Clerk
of the Council, and to authorize and direct the City Manager to
take all necessary steps to file this document with HUD.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves and adopts the
Fifth Year Performance Report, a copy of which is on file in the
office of the Clerk of the Council.
2. The City Manager of the City of Santa Ana is
hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary steps to
file the Fifth Year Program Performance Report with HUD in con-
for~nce with the provisions of Title I of the Housing and
Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 5301 et
seq., and all regulations pursuant thereto.
3. The City Manager is hereby designated as the
authorized representative of the City of Santa Ana to act in

connection with the aforesaid Performance Report, and to provide
such additional information as may be required by HUD.
