A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING
THAT STATE ROUTE 22 AND STATE ROUTE 55 BE DESIGNATED IN THE FEDERAL-
AID PRIMARY SYSTEM
WHEREAS; the City of Santa Ana deems it in their interest to have
State Route 22, Garden Grove Freeway, and State Route 55, Costa Mesa Freeway,
designated Federal-Aid Primary Systems, rather than Federal-Aid Urban
Systems; and
WHEREAS; under regulations issued by the Secretary of Transportation
under the Federal-Aid Highway Act (Title 23 U. S. Code), routes may be added
to and deleted from the Federal-Aid Primary and Federal-Aid Urban Systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA RESOLVES
that said Council concurs with other State and local legislative bodies in
and approves of the deletion of State Route 22 and State Route 55 as
designated in Exhibit A (being attached hereto and hereby made a part of this
resolution) from the Federal-Aid Urban System and addition of these routes
in the Federal-Aid Primary System, subject to the concurrence of the California
Department of Transportation and approval of the Federal Highway Administration.
