RESOLUTION NO. 81- 85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE
COMPENSATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, by Ordinance NS-1149, adopted January 2,
1973, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana authorized
the Community Redevelopment Agency to transact business and
exercise its powers pursuant to the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code SS 33000 et seq.);
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Health and Safety
Code SS 33114 and 33114.5, the City Council may authorize
compensation for members of the Community Redevelopment
Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore not
authorized any form of compensation for members of the
Community Redevelopment Agency as authorized by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
now desires to provide compensation to members of the
Community Redevelopment Agency in the form of health and
dental benefits as normally accorded to employees of the
City of Santa Ana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. That members of the Community Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Santa Ana, at their option, shall
receive the same health and dental benefits as normally
provided for employees of the City of Santa Ana as compen-
sation authorized by Health and Safety Code ~ 33114.
2. That all or any part of any resolution hereto-
fore adopted which may be inconsistent with this resolution
is hereby repealed.
