A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA CALLING FOR BIDS AND
SPECIFYING GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER
DIEM WAGES FOR THE WORK IN PROPOSED
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 246
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
heretofore by Resolution No. 81-119, adopted July 20 ,
1981, declared its intention to order work to be done and
acquisitions and improvements to be made as described in
said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in said Resolution referred
said proposed work, acquisitions and improvements to the
Engineer, and directed said Engineer to make and file with
the City Council a report pursuant to the provisions of
California Streets and Highways Code Sections 10203 and
10204; and
WHEREAS, said Engineer duly made and filed his report
in writing with said Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said Report was duly presented by said Clerk
to the Council for consideration and after being fully
considered by said Council was, by Resolution heretofore
adopted by said Council on July 20 , 1981, prelimi-
narily adopted, confirmed and approved, and said Council
fixed Au§ust 27 , 1981, at 7:30 PM, in the Council
Chambers of the City Council, City Hall, Santa Ana, Cali-
fornia, as the time and place for hearing protests to the
proposed improvements and provided for notice of said
hearing;
NOWv THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish, pursuant to Section 6066 of the Government Code of
the State of California in the Register a newspaper pub-
lished in the County of Orange and circulated in said City,
and hereby designated by the Council for that purpose, and
in the manner provided by law, notice to contractors invit-
ing sealed proposals for the doing of said work and making
of said improvements, in substantially the form of notice
set forth in the specifications and contract documents
attached to said Engineer's Report on file in the office of
the City Clerk.
SECTION 2: Au9ust 19 , 1981, at 2:00 p.m. in the
Office of the Purchasing Agent, City of Santa Ana, City
Hall, Room 115, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, Califor-
nia, is hereby fixed as the time and place for opening of
bids.
SECTION 3: In accordance with the provisions of
Division 2, Part 7 of the California Labor Code, copies of
the prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in
which said work is to be performed for each craft, classi-
fication or type of workman needed and applicable to said

work and improvements as described in said Resolution and in
said Engineer's Report, as determined by the Director of the
Department of Industrial Relations, are on file in the
Department of Public Works, City Hall, 20 Civic Center
Plaza, Santa Ana, California, and will be made available to
any interested party on request.
