A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING THE CITY'S BASIC COMPENSATION AND PAY PLAN TO ADD
THE CLASS TITLE OF SECURITY GUARD-MUSEUM IN ORDER TO CLASSIFY
NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1981-82 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR
THE CITY OF SANTAANA BOWER'S MUSEUM DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation
Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a posi-
tion classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations
and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the Annual Budget for 1981-82, the City
Council authorized the addition of several security guard positions in the
Bower's Museum Department; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new class title to the City's
Basic Classification and Pay Plan in order to properly classify the said new
positions assigned to the Museum Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Aha:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended is hereby
further amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title
of SECURITY GUARD-MUSEUM at Salary Rate Range No. 347, $1134 - $1379 per
month.
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after August 1,
1981.
