A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281
TO ADD THE NEW CLASS OF CRIMINALISTICS LAB-
ORATORY AIDE TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION
AND PAY PLAN.
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958 the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan
for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position
classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the
approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1981-82 Annual Budget for the Criminal-
istics Unit of the Police Department, tentatively entitled Crime Laboratory
Assistant; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new class to the City's Basic Class-
ification and Pay Plan for the purpose of classifying and fixing the salary level
of said new position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended by:
a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of
CRIMINALISTICS LABORATORY AIDE, and
b. Assigning said new class, in accordance with the current two-year
salary adjustment program, to the salary rate ranges on the effective dates as next
herein set out:

January 1, 1983

No. 288 ($851-$1034)
No. 300 ($902-$1096)
No. 306 ($929-$1129)
2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after November 1, 1981.
