A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF
OF POLICE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR GRANT
FOR SANTA ANA CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain
project designated the "Santa Ana Career Criminal Apprehension Program",
to be funded in part from funds made available through State General Funds
FY 81/82 as authorized by Chapter 1167 of the 1978 statutes for the Career
Criminal Apprehension Program, administered by the Office of Criminal
Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as O.C.J.P.).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of
the City of Santa Ana is authorized to submit on behalf of the City of
Santa Ana the attached application for Grant for Law Enforcement purposes
to O.C.J.P. and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Santa Ana
the attached Grant Award for Law Enforcement purposes including any ex-
tensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project (including any ex-
tension or amendment thereof) under the Career Criminal Apprehension
Program and the rules and regulations of O.C.J.P. and that cash will be
appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Grant Funds received hereunder
shall not be used to supplant Law Enforcement expenditures controlled by
this body.
