RESOLUTION NO. 82-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ACCEPTING A
$26,000 GRANT FROM ITT-CANNON AND
DECLARING ITS INTENT TO CONSTRUCT
AN AMPHITHEATER AT THE SANTA ANA
ZOO WITH SAID GRANT
WHEREAS, International Telephone and Telegraphr
Cannon Corporation ("ITT-Cannon") has awarded a $26-~000
grant to the City of Santa Ana ("said grant") for the
construction of an outdoor amphitheater in the Santa
Ana Zoo; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Zoo, a California
non-profit association, has been designated as the
conduit for receipt of said grant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to declare
its intent to establish a special fund for deposit of
said $26,000 grant to be used solely for the purpose of
constructing an amphitheater at the Santa Ana Zoo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of Santa Ana hereby accepts said
grant from ITT-Cannon to be used solely for the con-
struction of an amphitheater at the Santa Ana Zoo,
which amphitheater is to be used for the primary purpose
of providing education and orientation regarding the
Zoo to children visiting the Zoo.
2. Said grant shall be deposited in a special
fund to be expended as aforesaid.

3. The amphitheater shall be named the "ITT-
Cannon Education Center" as previously directed by the
City Council on February 1, 1982.
