HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-025RESOLUTION NO. 82-25 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA SPECIFYING DATES FOR CLOSURE OF SANTIAGO STREET AT SANTIAGO CREEK FOR PURPOSES OF RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL WHEREAS, Section 21101 (a) of the California Vehicle Code grants authority to local agencies to close any highway when in the opinion of the legislative body of that agency it is no longer needed for vehicular traffic; and WHEREAS, Transportation Engineering studies and substantial public testimony have recommended the closure of Santiago Street at Santiago Creek; and WHEREAS, City Council of the City of Orange approved said closure on November 24, 1981; and WHEREAS, City Council of the City of Santa Ana approved said closure on January 18, 1982. NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Santa Ana resolves that Santiago Street shall be closed at Santiago Creek with temporary devices through July 31, 1982 to evaluate the effects of a road closure and to provide for design of a permanent road closure.
