RESOLUTION NO. 82-133
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AREA "A"
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is committed to a
policy of encouraging quality development within the City of
Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, on April 1, 1981, the Cities of Santa Ana
and Orange entered into an agreement ("said agreement")
which provides for joint participation in a transportation
systems improvement program to provide for administration,
planning and funding for the improvement of an acceptable
traffic and transportation system in the program area there-
in defined; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
desires to establish a Transportation Systems Improvement
Program Area "A" within the boundary of the City of Santa
Ana consistent with th% program area in said agreement, for
the purpose of funding transportation system improvement
within such area; and
WHEREAS, Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 8-43
provides a method for collecting fees within the designated
area, and Santa Ana Municipal Code Sections 13-110 through
13-112 provide for deposit and expenditure of such fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana, that Transportation System
Improvement Program Area "A" be and is hereby established,
the description of which is shown on that certain map
attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof by
reference, more generally described as follows: The Santa

Ana Freeway on the West, Seventeenth Street on the South, a
small area extending easterly of grand Avenue on the east,
and the boundary of the City on the North.
ADOPTED this 21st day of September , 1982.
