RESOLUTION NO. 83-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 82-9
TO ALLOW AN OFF -PREMISE ADVERTISING
SIGN ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5125
W. FIRST STREET
WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on
January 3, 1983 on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 82-
9, to allow construction of an off -premise advertising sign
at 5125 W. First Street in the C2 District; and more
specifically located on the map attached as hereto as
Exhibit A, and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, prior to taking action on the said
application, this Council reviewed and approved the negative
declaration (I.S. No. 82-74) prepared for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid
hearing this Council finds and determines as follows:
(a) As conditioned hereinbelow, the subject
sign is consistent with a policy of providing a
moderate amount of outdoor advertising space in
appropriate locations in the City, which service
contributes to the general well-being of the
community.
(b) The subject sign will not have a
significant adverse effect on persons or property
in the vicinity, due to the circumstances of its
location and surroundings and the conditions of
approval hereinbelow.
(c) The subject sign will be in compliance
with all relevant zoning regulations and conditions.
(d) As conditioned hereinbelow, the subject
sign will not have a significant adverse effect on
the future development of the surrounding area in
accordance with the General Plan of the City.

2. Conditional Use Permit 82-9 is hereby approved,
subject to the following limitations, requirements, and
conditions:
(a) The sign shall be located in accordance
with the plot plan submitted to this Council at
the abovesaid hearing, except for minor modifications
approved by the Planning Department.
(b) Prior to installation of the sign, the
owner of the sign shall remove two other outdoor
advertising signs owned by it; specifically, those
signs located at 316 N. Harbor Blvd, and 302 NN,
Grand Avenue.
