RESOLUTION NO. 83- 53
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA TO DELETE THE DESIGNATION OF
THAT PORTION OF WASHINGTON AVENUE BETWEEN
FAIRVIEW STREET AND FLOWER STREET AS AN ARTERIAL
STREET
WHEREAS, the "Streets and Highways Plan" of the
Circulation Element of the General Plan of the City of Santa
Ana designates Washington Avenue as an arterial street, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its regular
meeting of January 24, 1983, after duly noticed public
hearing, approved an amendment to the General Plan to delete
the designation of that portion of Washington Avenue between
Fairview Street and Flower Street as an arterial street
(referenced as General Plan Amendment 83-1); and
WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the initial
environmental study and "Negative Declaration" (I.S. No. 83-
5) prepared for this proposed General Plan amendment; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public
hearing, concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of
the said General Plan amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the adoption of the said General Plan
amendment will not have any significant effect on the en-
vironment, and the "Negative Declaration" (I.S. No. 83-5) is
hereby approved.

Ana is hereby amended by deleting the designation therein of
that portion of Washington Avenue between Fairview Street
and Flower Street as an arterial street.
ADOPTED this 2nd day of Maw 1983.
