RESOLUTION NO
83-55
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE FIRE
CHIEF TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT TO LOAN
A RESERVE AERIAL LADDER TRUCK TO THE
CITY OF ORANGE
WHEREAS the City of Orange has requested the loan
of a reserve aerial ladder truck from the City of Santa Ana
to temporarily replace a disabled truck owned by the City of
Orange,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Fire Chief of the City of Santa Ana is hereby
authorized to enter into an agreement with the City of
Orange for the temporary loan of that certain vehicle owned
by the City of Santa Ana identified as a 1962 Seagrave, 85 -
foot, Aerial Ladder Truck, Vehicle #56554.
2. In addition to such other terms and conditions as
may be deemed appropriate by the Fire Chief, said agreement
shall provide that:
(a) The City of Orange shall indemnify and hold
harmless the City of Santa Ana from any and all claims for
damages resulting from the use of the vehicle by the City of
Orange;
(b) The City of Orange shall be responsible to
the City of Santa Ana for any damage to the City of Santa
Ana which is reasonably attributable to the use of the
vehicle by the City of Orange;
(c) The City of Orange shall return the vehicle
to the City of Santa Ana if needed by the City of Santa Ana
for any reason.

3. Said agreement shall be subject to approval as to
form by the City Attorney.
