RESOLUTION NO. 83- 118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPOINTING REX SWANSON AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Santa
Ana, A. J. Wilson, has tendered his resignation from such
position effective October 31, 1983, which resignation has
been accepted by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint a
city manager on an interim basis to fulfill the powers and
duties specified in the Charter of the City of Santa Ana,
until such time as the city can recruit and hire a person to
fill said office on a permanent basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Rex Swanson is hereby appointed to
fulfill the duties and to exercise the powers of the city
manager, as specified in the Charter of the City of Santa
Ana on an interim basis, effective from and after November
1, 1983, until the date specified by the City Council as the
employment date of a person selected to fill such office on
a permanent basis.
2. That the salary for Rex Swanson during the
foregoing interim period of time is hereby fixed and
established at Five Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-three
Dollars ($5,863.00) per month.
