A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-85
ARTICLE XIX GUIDEWAY AND TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND
DEVELOPMENT (TP & D) ACCOUNT TRANSIT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT (TCI)
FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City desires to construct a multi-level parking structure
at the Santa Ana - Orange County Transportation Center; and
WHEREAS, the parking structure will greatly enhance the viability of
the Transportation Center; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation is authorized
to make grants for transportation projects; and
WHEREAS, the contract for financial assistance will impose certain
obligations upon the applicant, including the provisions by it of the local
share of project costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Director of Transportation Services is authorized to
file an application to the California Department of Transportation
for fiscal year 1984-85 article XIX Guideway and Transportation
Planning and Development (TP & D) Account Transit Capital Improve-
ment (TCI) funds.
2. That the City of Santa Ana will upon award of a grant obligate it-
self to the required local match of funds to construct a multi-level
parking structure at the Santa Ana - Orange County Transportation
Center.
ADOPTED this 21st day of November 1983.
