RESOLUTION NO. 83- 155
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING MINOR EXCEPTION
APPLICAITON NO. 83-16, SEEKING TO ALLOW
THE SALE OF BEER AND WINE FOR ON-SITE
CONSUMPTION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT
2327 WEST EDINGER AVENUE
WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on
December 5, 1983, on Minor Exception Application No. 83-16, to
allow the sale of beer and wine for on-site consumption in a
cafe -billiard parlor located at 2327 West Edinger Avenue in the
Cl District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid hear-
ing this council finds and determines as follows:
(a) The proposed use is not necessary or desirable to
provide a service which will contribute to the general well-being
of the neighborhood for the community.
(b) The proposed use maybe injurious to persons and prop-
erty in the vicinity in that the existing cafe -billiard parlor
already lacks adequate parking and is not a compatible use with
surrounding uses, and the addition of beer and wine service would
only compound such problems.
(c) The proposed use is not consistent with the general
plan designation of the area, which is low-density residential.
2. Minor Exception Application No. 83-16 is hereby denied.
