RESOLUTION NO. 84-35
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AUTHORIZING A GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE
SANTA ANA YOUTH CRIME RESISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a
certain project designated the Santa Ana Youth Crime Resistance
Program to be funded in part from funds made available through
State General Funds as authorized by Chapter 1291 of the 1982
Statutes for the California Community Crime Resistance Program,
administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (here-
after referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Chief of Police
Raymond C. Davis of the City of Santa Ana is authorized, on its
behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law
Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Santa Ana the attached Grant Award for
law enforcement purposes including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project (including
any extension or amendment thereof) under the Community Crime
Resistance Program and the rules and regulations of OCJP and
that cash will be appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement ex-
penditures controlled by this body.
