A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING APPLICATIONS FOR ALL
AVAILABLE GRANTS UNDER THE CALIFORNIA
INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT ACT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines
and declares as follows:
The people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil
Recycling Enhancement Act that provides funds to cities and counties for
establishing and maintaining local used oil collection programs that
encourage recycling or appropriate disposal of used oil.
The California Integrated Waste Management Board has been delegated
the responsibility for the administration of the program within the State,
setting up necessary procedures governing application by cities and
counties under the program.
The applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of California for
development of each project.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby:
Authorizes the submittal of grant applications to the California Integrated
Waste Management Board for all available grants under the California Oil
Recycling Enhancement Act for the period extending through June 30,
2008.
Appoints the Executive Director of the i~ublic Works Agency, or his
designee, as agent for the City of Santa Ana to conduct all negotiations
execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications,
agreements, amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be
necessary for the completion of the aforementioned grant projects.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by
the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest .to and certify the vote adopting
this Resolution.
