RESOLUTION NO. 84- 94
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID
COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO
SAID CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
SAID CITY ON NOVEMBER 6, 1984.
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held
in the City of Santa Ana on November 6, 1984; and
WHEREAS, it will facilitate the conduct of said
election if the Registrar of Voters will provide certain
supplies and services incidental to the said election to the
City; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing such
services shall be paid by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of
Section 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California,
this Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of Orange
County to permit the Registrar of Voters to provide the follow-
ing services to this City, as requested by the Clerk of the
Council, for use in conducting said election:
(1) Verification of voter's registration of
persons signing candidates' nominating papers;
(2) Provision of the County's record of the
names and addresses of all eligible registered voters
in this City as necessary for preparation of an
alphabetical voters' list.

(3) Use by the City of a telephone in the offices
of the Registrar of Voters for transmission of election
results to Santa Ana City Hall on the night of the
election.
(4) Provision of such other incidental election
supplies and services as are available from the office
of the Registrar of Voters and requested by the Clerk
of the Council.
SECTION 2. That the City shall reimburse said County
for all such services performed when the work is completed and
upon presentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 3. That the Clerk of the Council is hereby
directed to forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors
and to said Registrar of Voters, each, a certified copy of
this Resolution.
