RESOLUTION NO. 84-131
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING A CUL--DE--SAC
ON LOWELL STREET NORTH OF CIVIC CENTER
DRIVE WEST
WHEREAS, this Council has previously approved in
concept the construction of a cu~de-sac on Lowell Street,
north of Civic Center Drive West, as part of a neighborhood
plan to prevent intrusion of vehicular traffic into a resi-
dential neighborhood due to commercial and office develop-
ment on Civic Center Drive West;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Pursuant to its authority under Section 21101 of the
Vehicle Code of the State of California, this Council approves
the construction of a cul--de--sac, consisting curb, gutter, side-
walk and a six-foot high wrought iron fence, across Lowell Street
approximately ninety (90) feet north of the north line of Civic
Center Drive West.
2. This Council finds and determines that the said cu~de-
sac, by preventing the intrusion of vehicular traffic and off-
street parking incident to commercial and office development
into a residential neighborhood, implements the circulation
element of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana.
ADOPTED this 5th day of November , 1984.
