A RESOLUTION OF THE SANTA ANA CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION
WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA, FOR SECTION 9 FUNDING UNDER THE URBAN
MASS TRANSPORTATION ACT OF 1964, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center will
an estimated 425,000 transit and rail passengers a year; and
WHEREAS, adequate security and information systems are an
~al part of the efficient and effective operation of the Center;
WHEREAS, the Secretary of Transportation of the United
s is authorized under the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964,
~ended, to make grants for mass transportation projects; and
WHEREAS, if approved, the financial grant will impose
in obligations upon the City, including the provision of its
share of the project costs; and
WHEREAS, it is required by the U.S. Department of
~ortation that in connection with the filing of an application
