A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA DENYING VARIANCE APPLICATION NO.
85-20 TO WAIVE SIDE YARD REQUIREMENTS FOR
PROPERTY AT 717 NORTH LACY STREET
WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on January 20,
1986 on Variance Application No. 85-20, which seeks to waive side
yard requirements for property located at 717 North Lacy Stret in
the R3H district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based on the evidence submitted at the abovesaid hearing,
this Council finds and determines as follows:
(a) The property can be developed in accordance with
municipal side yard requirements through reduction of the number
of units and redesign of the development, Therefore, there are
no special circumstances applicable to the property which justify
the waiver of these side yard requirements.
(b) The proposed development of the property lacks
proper access, light, and separation from neighboring buildings.
It would therefore be injurious to surrounding property.
2. Variance Application No. 85-20 is hereby denied.
