A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMd~NDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD NEW JOB CLASSES TO
CLASSIFY, RECLASSIFY, AND COMPENSATE POSITIONS AUTHORIZED
IN THE 1985-86 ANNUAL BUDGET AND TO EFFECT OTHER CHANGES
TO THE CI~Sf'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, On August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification
and Compensation Plan for Officers and F~nployees of the City of Santa Ana;
and
WHEREAS, Section 1004 Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ama requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a
position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution
and
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1985-86 Annual Budget, City Council
approved the addition of various positions throughout the City organization
including some of the positions in the Public Services and Utilities
Agencies, which due to significantly different duty, responsibility and
qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing classes found in
the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to add two new class titles together with
assigned salary rate ranges to the City's Basic Classification and
Compensation plan and to change one class title without any change in salary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CIl~f OF SANTA
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby
further amended by:
a. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following new
class titles and assigning them to a two-year salary adjustment schedule as
next hereinafter set out:

2. That this resolution shall be operative from and after February
3, 1986.
