HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-013079 RESOLUTION NO. 86-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85-145 TO ADD TWO NEW CLASS TITLES OF ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF AND DEPUTY CITY MANAGER-POLICE CHIEF TO THE BASIC COMPENSATION PLAN FOR UNREPRES~TED MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL WHEREAS, on December 3, Resolution No. 85-145, revising plan for classes of employment Middle-Management; and 1985, the City Council passed and adopted and reestablishing the basic compensation designated as Unrepresented Executive and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Manager, after considerable study and deliberation, has proposed the establishment of two new management classes to reduce his span of control and strengthen the lines of authority and accountability over various offices, departments and agencies subject to his authority. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. That Section 3A of Resolution No. 86-145, is hereby amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Deputy City Manager-Police Chief at Salary Rate Range M-34 and designating said new class as unrepresented Executive Management (EM). 2. That Section 3B of Resolution No. 86-145, is hereby amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Assistant Fire Chief at Salary Rate Range M-30 and designating said new class as unrepresented Middle-Management (MM). 3. That the Resolution shall be operative from and after February 3, 1986. ATTEST: ADOPTED this 3rd day of February , 1986. Daniel E.
