RESOLUTION NO. 86-29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 86-1 TO ALLOW A
RESIDENTIAL DUPLEX IN THE P (PROFESSIONAL)
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on April
7, 1986 on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 86-1 to
allow a residential duplex in the P (Professional) District
on property located at 1612 West Second Street, which
application was brought before this Council by Appeal No. 536
following its denial by the Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based on the evidence submitted at the abovesaid
hearing, this Council finds and determines that the proposed
use will not provide a service or facility which will contribute
to the general well being of the neighborhood or the community,
in that its proposed design will not enhance the neighborhood.
In the proposed design the garage doors face immediately on
to the street, presenting an unattractive view of garages and
vehicles without any architectual relief.
2. Conditional Use Permit Application No. 86-1 is
hereby denied.
