A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA TO PROVIDE ANNUAL REQUALIFICATION FOR
· PARTICIPATION IN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING
PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 1986 - 1987.
WHEREAS, Articles 2 and 3 of Chapter 9, Division 2 of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California autho-
rize a County to expend funds apportioned to it out of the Cali-
fornia Highway Users' Tax Fund for aid to any City for the
improvement, construction, or repair of streets within such City;
and
WHEREAS, the procedure manual for the Arterial Highway
Financing Program (AHFP) requires annual requalification of par-
ticipating cities in the program by affirming with the AHFP Advi-
sory Committee that the City's Master Plan of Arterial Highways
is mutually satisfactory and in conformance with that of the
County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has, in accordance with
the County's Resolution 79-402, initiated the cooperative study
process required to resolve an inconsistency between the Orange
County and the City of Santa Ana Master Plans of Arterial High-
ways; and

WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has, on June 16, 1986,
an amendment to the Circulation Element of the City's
Plan to resolve this inconsistency; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange will consider an amendment to the County Master Plan of
Arterial Highway.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA;
That the City of Santa Ana intends to maintain consis-
tency between the County's Master Plan of Arterial Highways and
the City's General Plan Circulation Element.
