A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO CHANGE THE SALARY RATE RANGE
ASSIGNED TO THE CLASS OF SECRETARy TO THE CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification
and Compensation Plan for the Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana;
and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a
position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, based on an analysis of prevailing salary rates paid for
comparable work in other major Orange County cities and the application of
other salary administration criteria, including internal salary relationships,
the City Manager has recommended that the single-position class of Secretary
to the City Manager warrants a special salary adjustment at this time; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to amend the City's Basic
Classification and Compensation Plan by assigning a new salary rate range to
said existing classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended by fixing and
establishing the salary rate range assigned to the class title of Secretary to
the City Manager at Salary Rate Range No. 480, $2169 to $2637 per month.

2. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after
ADOPTED this 7th day of kJ~ul~ , 1986.
