HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-074REL :adg-24 7/28/86 RESOLUTION NO. 86-~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING VARIANCE NO. 86-8 TO WAIVE A PORTION OF THE SIDE YARD, OPEN SPACE AND OFF- STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 717 NORTH LACY STREET WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on July 21, 1986, on Variance Application No. 86-8, which application sought to allow construction of a two-story, three unit apartment building with waivers of side yard, off-street parking, and open space requirements on property located at 717 North Lacy Street as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: 1. Based on the evidence submitted at the abovesaid hearing, this Council finds and determines as follows: (a) The narrow width of the subject parcel makes any multiple-family residential development infeasible without waivers of yard, off-street parking and open-space requirements. (b) The proposed multiple-family residential use will not be detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of persons in the vicinity. (c) Use of the residential purposes right. property for multiple-family is a substantial property (d) Multiple-family residential use of the property is consistent with the general plan. RESOLUTION NO. 86-74 PAGE TWO 2. Variance No. 86-8 is approved subject to the condition that development of the subject site conforms to the design plans for the proposed development reviewed by the City Council at the abovesaid hearing, subject to minor modifications approved by the planning manager.
