RESOLUTION NO. 86-101
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA CONSENTING TO THE CITY
OF TUSTIN'S APPLICATION TO THE L.A.F.C.
OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR THE ADJUST-
MENT OF THE COMMON BOUNDARY LINE BETWEEN
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND THE CITY OF
TUSTIN DESIGNATED AS ORANGE COUNTY MUNICIPAL
REORGANIZATION NO. 91.
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin has proposed a common
boundary line adjustment with the City of Santa Ana and the
City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 77-125 the City of Santa
Ana consented to the transfer to the City of Tustin of that
certain real property as designated on Exhibit A attached
hereto, but said transfer was never accomplished; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Ana City Council finds that the
existing common boundary line between both cities traverses the
properties in question in a manner inconsistent with the public
use of the area and thereby precludes the efficient use of city
services, and that the foregoing is not in agreement with the
public interest in securing the best use of the properties; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 86-67 dated April 6, 1986
the City of Tustin resolved to act as the lead agency and
proceed with the various implementing actions to accomplish the
proposed boundary line adjustment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Santa Ana affirms its previous
consent to the detachment of certain real property as
designated on Exhibit A attached hereto from the City of Santa
Ana for transfer to the City of Tustin.
2. The Clerk of the Council is hereby authorized to file
this Resolution and Resolution No. 77-125 with the Local Agency
Formation Commission of the County of Orange, pursuant to Part
2 of Division 2 of Title 4 of the Government Code of the State

of California for the adjustment of the common boundary line
between the City of Santa Ana and the City of Tustin.
3. That the City of Santa Ana agrees to allocate to the
City of Tustin the property tax revenue for this
reorganization, as provided in the master property tax transfer
agreement between the County of Orange and the City of Santa
Ana dated December 16, 1980.
