HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-038RESOLUTION NO. 85-38 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AM~DING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO EFFECT A NLM~ER OF POSITION CLASSIFICATION Ab~ CO~t~NSATION CHANGES IN ORDER TO I~ PROPOSED STAFFING CHANGES THROUGHOUT THE CITY ORGANIZATION WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed a~ adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and C~mpensation Plan for Officers and Fa~ployees of the City of Santa Aha; and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and and WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time,amended said Resolution; WHEREAS, the City Manager, after considerable study and deliberation, has proposed additional, mere-detailed adjustments to the administrative reorganization plan previously approved b~ City Council in order to further consolidate related City functions; clar!fymanagernent responsibilities, lines of authority and accountability; abd provide for the implementation of new programs and activities initiated since the adoption of the 1984-85 Annual Budget. WIi]SREAS, it is now desired to add a number of new class titles at appropriate salary levels for the purpose of classifying or reclassifying certain positions, change several existing class titles, delete obsolete titles, and effect several other changes to the City's Basic Classification and Ccm~pensation Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by: a. Deleting the following class titles: Class Title Salary Rate Range No. (Min.-Max.)
