RESOLUTION NO. 85- 54
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DENYING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICA-
TION NO. 85-8 TO ALLOW A CLUB ON PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 226 WEST SECOND STREET
WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on
April 15, 1985 on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 85-8,
seeking to allow an "Under-21" club on property located at
226 West Second Street in the C3 district, which application
was brought before this Council by Appeal No. 513 following its
denial by the Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based on the evidence submitted at the abovesaid hearing,
this Council finds and determines as follows:
(a) The proposed use presents a high risk of increased
crime and violence in the area.
(b) The proposed use is likely to cause excessive night-
time noise and disturbance.
(c) The proposed use lacks adequate parking in the near
vicinity.
(d) The proposed use is not compatible with commercial
uses in the area.
2. Conditional Use Permit Application No. 85-8 is hereby denied.
3. Parking Waiver Application No. 85-1 is likewise denied.
