HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-118RESOLUTION NO. 85-118 A RESOI3JTION OF THE CITY OOUNC'IL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AIv~NDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD NE%V JOB CLASSES TO CLASSIFY AI~ C(lV~I~SATE NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1985-86 AblNUAL BUDGET AbD TO EFFECT ~ CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AbD CON~tlNSATION PLAN WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WBERFAS, City Council has fram time to time amended said Resolution; and WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1985-86 Annual Budget, City Council approved the addition of new positions throughout the City organization, including a number of such positions which, due to significantly different duty, responsibility and qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing classes found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and ~-II~REAS, it is now desired to add several new class titles, together with assigned salary rate ranges, to the City's Basic Classification and Ccrnpensation Plan; change one class title and its salary rate range; and change one class title without any change in salary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO[~CIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by: a. Adding in proper alphabetical sequence, the following new class titles and assigning them to a two-year salary adjustment schedule as next hereinafter set out: Class Title SALARY RATERANSES Effective 10-1-85 Effective 7-1-86 Assistant Museum Registrar Human Resources Receptionist Telec~nications Coordinator Volunteer Services Coordinator 401 ($1476-1793) 370 ($1269-1542) 472 ($2086-2536) 436 ($1751-2128) 411 ($1549-1883) 380 ($1332-1619) 482 ($2190-2663) 446 ($1839-2234) b. Changing the existing class title of Neighborhood Planner to Neighborhood Improvement Coordinator at no change in currently assigned salary levels: c. Changing the existing class title of Landscape Architect to Park and Landscape Planner and increasing the assigned salary level by ten (10) salary rate ranges (5.0%) resulting in an adjusted two-year salary program as foll~-~: Effective Date SALARY RATERANGE No. (Min.-Max.)
