A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD
NEW JOB CLASSES TO CLASSIFY AND COMPENSATE NEW
POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1985-86 ANNUAL BUDGET
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and
adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic
Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the
City of Santa Aha; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the
City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and
maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service
rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1985-86 Annual Budget,
City Council approved the addition of new positions throughout the
City organization, including a number of such positions in the Police
Department which, due to significantly different duty, responsibility
and qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing classes
found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, in order to reclassify and upgrade two existing
but inappropriately classified positions in the Police Department it is
now desired,~to create two new class titles at the appropriate salary
levels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is
hereby further amended by:

b. Designating the new class of Police Property and
Facilities Manager as represented middle-management by adding the
parenthetical identifier "RM" next to following the class title.

December 2, 1985.
