HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-008031 REL .' adg-22 1/7/87 RESOLUTION NO. 87- 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha, after duly noticed public hearing, approved amendments to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed and considered the initial environmental study and negative declaration prepared for such proposed General Plan amendments; and WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hear- ing, concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan amendments; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The adoption of the said General Plan amendments will not have a significant effect on the environment, and the negative declaration prepared for said amendments is hereby approved. 2. The Land Use Element of the General Plan is hereby amended by adding thereto a new land use designation, to be entitled "Industrial/Residential." Real property to which the said Industrial/Residential designation applies may be used and developed for either industrial or residential uses, provided that the density of residential development shall not exceed 15 dwelling units per acre. The purpose of the Industrial/ Residential land use designation is to provide a land use designation which is appropriate to allow the use and develop- ment of property in the "Logan Area" of the City of Santa Ana in accordance with the "X-Suffix" zoning regulations applicable to such area pursuant to Ordinance No. NS-1490, adopted by the City Council on July 2, 1979. 032 RESOLUTION NO. 87-8 PAGE TWO 3. The Land Use Element of the General Plan is further amended by deleting therefrom the Low/Medium Density Residential land use designation. As used hereinafter the LMR symbol refers to said Low/Medium Density land use designation. 4. As used hereinafter, the following symbols shall have the following respective meanings: Symbol Land Use Designation Density Maximum (in dwelling units per acre LR MR MH R HR MUC PAO Low Desnity Residential 7 Medium Density Residential 15 Medium/High Density Residential 22 High Density Residential 35 Multi-use Corridor n/a Professional and Administrative n/a offices 5. Exhibit A, attached hereto, consisting of thirteen maps, is incorporated herein by reference. The "Land Use Plan" of the Land Use Element of the General Plan is hereby amended to redesignat~ those areas of the City of Santa Ana shown on said Exhibit A maps by number or by number and letter to new land use designations in accordance with the symbols, as hereinabove defined, shown on the legends on each of said Exhibit A maps.
