RESOLUTION NO. 87- 59
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION 82-110 TO DELETE, ADD AND CHANGE SEVERAL
CLASS TITLES AND EFFECT OTHER CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC
CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR OFFICERS AND
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA.
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic
Classification and Compensation Plan for officers and Employees of the
City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004 Article X of the City Charter of the City
of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a
position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time amended said
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal Year
1987-88, the City Council authorized certain organizational and staffing
changes which affect several class titles in the City's Basic
Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of employment contained
in Resolution No. 82-110; and
WHEREAS, the changing needs and priorities of the City
departments dictate certain changes in the Basic Classification and
Compensation Plan for classes of employment contained in Resolution No.
82-110, and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolution to delete,
add and change several class titles and salary rate ranges affected by
said organizational and staffing changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
%. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is
hereby further amended by:
a. Deleting the following class titles:
Contract Compliance Officer
Community Events Aide (Full-time)
Legislative Analyst
Public Information Officer

b. Designating as "terminal" the following class titles by
adding the parenthetical identifier "T" following each class title so
that the class will automatically bet deleted from the City's Basic
Classification and Compensation Plan upon being vacated by its current
incumbent:

e. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following
ciass titles at the salary rate ranges as next thereto set out:

2. That Section 3.5 "Part-time and Temporary Rates" of
Resolution 82-110 is hereby further amended by:
a. changing the hourly rate, established in the year 1982
for the part-time classification of Crossing Guard, as follows:
