A_M~INDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 AND NO. 87-95 TO ADD, [ELETE,
ADD, AND CHANGE SEVERAL POSITION CLASSIFICATION TITLES
F~RTAINING TO THE ACCOUNTING SERIES OF CLASSES
W]{EREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a
position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on A~gust 2, 1982 the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification
and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, on December 21, 1987, the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 87-95, reestablishing the Basic Classification and Compensation
Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented executive and
middle-management; and
WHEREAS, du~ to a reorganization within the Finance and Management
Services Department caused by the projected budgetary constraints and certain
staffing considerations, the Executive Director of that department has begun
the process of restructuring several senior-level positions; and
WHEREAS, in order to implement the reorganization proposed by the
Finance and Managament Services Department it is now desired to delete the
vacant class of Accounting Manager (1~4), change the title of Budget and
Research Officer (b~0 to Accounting & Budget Manager (MM), and add t~ new
class titles at appropriate salary levels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. Section 3B of Resolution No. 87-95, the Basic Classification and
Compensation Plan for Unrepresented Management employees, is hereby amended by:
a. Deleting the class title of Accounting Manager (MM); and
b. Changing the class title of Budget & Research Officer (MM)
to Accounting & Budget Manager (M~), with no change in salary range.
2. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110 the City's Basic
Classification & Compensation Plan for non-management employees, as amended,
is hereby further amended as follows:
